Biography
Mr. Tinker has been a civil litigator since graduating from Law School in 1990. He has represented civil litigants in numerous injury cases through out Central and Eastern KY in Trial and Appeals. He has numerous Trial Verdicts in these cases, ranging from auto accidents, product liability, medical malpractice and slip/fall cases. His experience also involves cases in Workers Compensation and Social Security Disability.
Prior to forming McFarland Tinker Law, He was the managing partner in an Insurance Defense Firm that successfully defended insurance claims through out all of Kentucky, including trial Verdicts. His experience includes several cases reported in Case Law Reporters, establishing new case law in Kentucky. His successful result in Pike v. Geico,174 Fed. Appx. 311, 2006, 6th Cir., established new case law interpreting a UIM insurance contract for Geico Insurance. He also notched numerous summary judgement rulings defending slip/fall cases for homeowners and businesses. Because of this experience and knowledge, he knows what the insurance companies use to defeat injured parties, and can use that to your advantage to achieve the best settlement or Trial result in your case.
Mr. Tinker has spent the vast majority of his legal career in Central and Eastern Ky, with cases in over 30 local jurisdictions. He started his family in Paintsville, Ky raising two daughters, while being active in the community. He now wants to put his experience and knowledge to work for you in your injury case.
